Pennine are based in Accrington, Lancashire and manufacture their campers under the respective Conway and Pennine brand names. 2009 brings you the launch of the PLATINUM SERIES of 'Convertible Caravans' with a new all weather acrylic material available to the Conway Crusader and Conway Cruiser. Pennine and Conway Folding Campers offer a credible alternative to the conventional touring caravan at a fraction of the price. These Folding Campers now offer higher specifications including heating and CD/MP3 players in the “top-of-the range” models. All the luxury and specifications of a caravan, combined with easier towing, easier storage and fixed beds which are permanently made up – little wonder that our customers realise that Conway and Pennine Folding Campers are the answer to their Camping and Caravanning needs. Additional benefits of lightweight construction, better than average fuel consumption and the addition of a DVD which will provide you with a full demonstration of the assembly sequence of your camper are further reasons for you to consider Folding Campers as an option. Unlike a Trailer Tent the main Cabin/Sleeping area does not need to be pegged out to the ground hence the speed and ease to erect. All of the Folding Campers have the option of a full awning along with other accessories. Folding Campers are designed so that the bed areas are supported by the trailer body eliminating the need for the canvas reaching the ground and the need to peg out. They usually cost more than a trailer tent and weigh heavier because of their stiffer structure. For the people who camps most weekends, folding campers are the most popular of the two types due to the lack of pegging. Folding campers should not be confused with folding caravans. Folding caravans have a similar on the road appearance to a folding camper but have walls and the roofs made from solid, rigid materials so when set up they look like a caravan.
